Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Meghan Trainor drops a six-track EP that’s pretty much a love letter to her husband Daryl Sabara. The two are definitely still in the honeymoon phase. They tied the knot on December 22, 2018 which coincided with Trainor’s 25th birthday.
The Love Train serves as an appetizer before Trainor releases her third studio album, Treat Myself. It was originally supposed to arrive in August 2018 but was postponed to who knows when. No release date has been announced.
The EP kicks off with the upbeat “All The Ways” which was previously used in a Target add. Things then slow down with the ukulele-driven “Marry Me.” It’s beyond cute. Meghan picks it up again with, my personal favorite, “I’m Down.” This is a major mid-tempo bop. The next two, “After You” and “Foolish,” are just alright for me. She then concludes things with “Good Mornin’” which features her dad Gary Trainor on the organ.
Check out the EP below and weigh in afterward on which cut is your favorite.
