During my trip to South Korea I met up with a fellow YouTuber from Seoul, South Korea. I’ve never really explored the Gangnam / garosu-gil / Sinsa-dong area since I’ve always stuck to Sinchon, Hongdae, Edae for food so my friend decided to show me around the areas of Seoul I haven’t been to.
My friend Jamie runs a YouTube channel called Jamie from Seoul. I was gonna be in Seoul so I thought it would be cool to meet up in person! Jamie and I hung out and visited some really awesome places. I visited a really trendy clothing store in Sinsa called Maison Kitsune. Then we visited a pop up artist exhibit that showcased some really awesome old school neon signs of korean stores.
Afterwards, Jamie suggested a Michelin Guide / Michelin star soba place called 미미면가 Mimi Myeonga for dinner. This was my first time going to and eating anything from the famous Michelin Guide and it really didn’t disappoint! It was really great food! There was a line before it was even open. I’m glad we chilled at a cafe next door to the place so the line wasn’t too bad.
The next day I revisited Yonsei University to catch up with my UCEAP Language Exchange buddies that studied abroad in UC Irvine!
