  1. And a tip about the Dead Sea: you pay much less, if anything, on the Israeli side. I remember paying to get access but we never paid for the mud and the entrance fee was less than $10. I think Israel in general is cheaper, and I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the exchange rate from dollars to Shekels is better than it is going from dollars to Dinars.

  2. Also, Morocco and Egypt are not Middle Eastern countries. They're North African. Maybe you meant that they're Arab cultures, or that they're Muslim countries, but they are very different from the Middle East in terms of culture.

  3. No offense man, but this is really more "gay man reflects on his week in Jordan" rather than a "gay travel guide." Virtually no practical information and very little about the culture. Still interesting, don't get me wrong…just not informative. At all.

  4. Good info – stick to the point – you talk about "what" you're going to talk about too much….precise and succinct, but thanks for the good info. Amman is difficult to walk around in – too many hills

  5. well, i dont think the whole idea of dating or having sex with them in their home country is a good idea. just go to some place like dubai and maybe get lucky. arab dick isnt worth dying for. or better still invite them to some middle ground and both be on vacation together. just not worth dying for

  6. Actually I'm Jordanian and if gays were caught they'll be in jail, oh and stop bringing bullshit to our Arabian countries we want peace why don't you go back to your freaking country so Donald doesn't murder you…..FUCKALLDISGAYSHIT

  7. Pleses my dear help me im from iraq im gay i cant take any more i subjected to kill from my family cause im gay can u help me to get away from iraq to other country respected me and give me right as human and feeling my suffering and the lonely that i live here please im sure u can feel what feeling respond me

  8. Oh please! The people you meet is the reflection you see in "your mirror"
34 minutes of total bs.. Save your DRAMA for your MAMA! . I'm so sad that I've wasted important 7 minutes in my life to hear that shite… 👎

  9. Your T-shirt says Bullshit!! and half of what you said is actually bullshit! you're contradicting yourself through out the video once you say you do casual sex then you say it's not my thing.
Your idea about gays in the "middle east" is based on your bad experience which i don't really believe! You obviously haven't seen much of Amman when you say it's a small or there is not much to see.. You should do some research before you go anywhere.

  10. Minute 7
Many approach u for sex cuz westerners look and ask for it when visiting let's say jordan and most of them r willing to pay for it too 😉 I'm Jordanian living in Berlin myself and I understand the mentality on both sides !! I kno many Berliners who travel regularly to certain countries like Thailand Tunisia and maroco mostly looking for prostitutes and they would tell u stories about what they have experienced over there

  11. Back in 2005, spent time in Syra, Lebanon and Israel. In 2009, was in Egypt. As I am of mixed race (Black/White), I blend-in with folks of the Middle East, so guess you could say, I did not have the White privilege.  Long story short, had very little, when it came to guys asking for sex or suggesting. While I tend be super-cautious when traveling, I must say, I would have liked to have had the privilege Tosheatower has.

  12. Despite the fact you are compaining a lot which shows how close minded and judgmental you are …. Yes middle east is different and thats the beauty  of it, our sex life is a privet thing wheather your man and woman , straight or gay . Which is cultural thing.

speaking of guys, in every country there are educated, middle class, Wealthy , open minded and religious guys. don't you expect to meet the coolest guy in town just because you are there .

Hitting on western guys ??  well actually approaching guys in the street its straight thing to do (our culture ) ….. gay guys would never do that .

All in all , I have been to Europe, Asia, Africa Etc . But i would never there to nag or be such a brat talking about others culture and behaves as its the weird thing to see or experience. appreciating different cultures is  the reason we travel.otherwise stay in you super clean country and deal with your cousins and neighbours.

STOP TALKING LIKE YOU SMELLING SOMTHING NASTY . ITS IMPOLITE

  13. I'm sorry but I couldn't help but laugh around 12:00 to after 13:00 or so, your way of describing the situation gave me some belly laughs.  You know, though, that there are some people here like that too, some of the closet cases here would fit in there.  It really is too bad the culture there is so repressive, and that people have to live their lives like that.

  14. Gay not a sin in Ohio we gays have fun and everyone welcomes us in Ohio and Israel loves gays why they know we are Gods people too and love Jordan and honey you look handsome and need to be what God made you but always love others as yourself but you need to come to Ohio in the Usa,,England and Israel and love you friend and God bless..God is for freedom gay or str8 God looks at your caring heart and caring for others!

  15. Do you think that male dominance is part of the middle Eastern male thinking and attitude? In other words they want to fuck you to dominate you.

  16. well i don't think u met the right ppl , plus there's much to do in amman ! i think thats due to really bad advertisement !
anyways that approaching thing when ppl hit on u , that never happened to me lol
but i got hit on by taxi drivers ! which was disturbing !!!
although i have face piercing n tattoos ! so yea , i just got weird look from the general public

but yea i think u definitely had a very strange visit ! n omg u met the most disgusting ppl ever !
sorry u had that experience !

  17. Honestly, I seriously respect your POV.

Here's my take on it (this is the part where I disagree, respectfully).

Jordan as a whole, and the capital, specifically, is a very, very, let me emphasise again, very, bizarre. Culturally, socially, intellectually and ethnically. So, technically, you cannot simply judge the culture of a city that mixes everything from the surrounding areas, from Greek to Russian, in such a short visit.

In addition, the gay scene is very complicated as well.
I'm not going to go ahead and explain my anthropological perspective in a YouTube comment, you can reach me for further information if you're interested.

PS: The information on video description is outdated. The population is 3.5 million for the city and bordering on 6 million in the metro area.
Perhaps that's the population of Central Amman.

PPS: Perhaps you only stuck to the central part of the city, the suburbs, which tend to be more liberal the more you head west, have different cultural aspects.

One more comment, you keep using words like "Middle Easterner" and "Westerner" when truth be told, these words hold no merit in a country based on immigration from the old world.

  18. Why don't you go to Israel WHERE YOU WILL BE CELEBRATED, WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS, NOT SPAT ON & BEHEADED FOR BEING GAY IN I$LAMO-FA$CIST-TERRORI$T arab countries? Israel has GAY TRAVEL AGENCIES, GAY FRIENDLY RAINBOW-FLAGGED CITIES AND TOURIST DESTINATIONS, GAY PRIDE WEEK FESTIVALS IN TEL AVIV – LOOK IT UP!! PROMOTE THOSE WHO LOVE YOU AND NOT DESPISE YOU!!

  19. YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL MAN, SO THAT COULD BE THE REASON YOU GET HIT ON BY JORDANIANS.
HOWEVER, THERE ARE MANY HOT MEN IN JORDAN THAT GIVE OFF A GAY VIBE. HERE IS MY THEORY. I BELIEVE JORDANIANS HIT ON YOU BECAUSE THEY FEEL SAFE WITH YOU. YOU ARE A WESTERNER. YOU DONT KNOW FRIENDS OR FAMILY OF THE PERSON HITTING ON YOU. THERE HOMOSEXUAL DESIRES OR ACTIVITY IS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT TO BE EXPOSED BY A WESTERNER. YOURE GOING BACK HOME ANYWAY.

ALSO,HOMOSEXUALITY IS SUCH A TABOO IN JORDAN. IF YOU ARE A HOMOSEXUAL, SEX IN MAY BE A POSSIBILITY. IF YOURE LOOKING FOR A LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP IN JORDAN, KEEP DREAMING.

  20. 7:17 well im 100% Jordanian and nope i disagree with what you have heard, i have western friends that two of them are Gay and that's fine actually im still trying to get over it , we just happen to keep our sexuality and life style not as open as the west so i guess its a matter of a cultural shock ,
8:42 we do hold hands as friends we even kiss on cheeks as a greet and we still feel comfortable about it as being a Heterosexual persons
10:45 there is something that cannot be seen in the streets or the life style of Amman which is sometimes the smaller or the weaker boy at school sometimes get abused by the other kids and that explains how some of them become that dominant or way too passive, and being honest about it most of the cases that i witnessed in Amman if you don`t push back these attempts you will be bullied again and again or forced to abused by the larger or the bullys in schools
    17:04 is Masjid Abu Darweesh
18:24 you should have asked for buses and buss stations as you can manage to go around if your up for a less comfortable transportation , and about the dead sea mud you got screwed mate you dont have to pay for it you just had to ask about it cause usually people rip off tourists with things, and there is usually in almost everywhere in Hotels Spas at that area that provide mud for free
20 Knafeh is just great 🙂
i think you went to the trashy areas of Amman and i actually pretty much hang around there im not a posh person but sorry to say and no offense but its a hard place for hard people specially areas near Roman Theater and some areas in Down Town Amman
23 nah im fine with you, you saw things from your own perspective and points of view so yeah

  21. Have you ever thought about visiting Baku Azerbaijan or Tbilisi Georgia?  I know there  not well known tourist destinations, but i would really like to know your thoughts about those two cities.  Especially Baku, since the city is turning into or a least trying to be a big tourist destination in Euroasia.

  22. Hon, so I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I've watched every one of your travel videos and I'm not a hater. I like your commentary and videos. I just think that the lens that you're viewing your travels from is totally incorrect. The whole point of travel is to experience a different culture and see how other people live. The phrase, "When in Rome" points to that idea, of living as the locals do and throwing your preconceived ideas out the window.

In contrast to that idea, it makes me wonder why you are voluntarily choosing to travel and see the world when you are just going to make these negative judgments about the different cultures you see and how people live.

You don't seem to have any empathy nor concern for why people have to live the way they live and what social / cultural / legal reasons are for why the gay/bi men live the way they do. It's perfectly fine if you don't want to do a threesome or are not into casual sex, but you seem to have an impression of disgust to people who just want to have a moment to relieve all the pressure. It's unimaginable how much social pressure they must feel there and instead of empathy you come across as judging them for not having Western ideals of gay civility.

It makes me wonder why are you traveling when all you do is make judgements about why these people aren't Western and don't behave like you do with what you might consider 'class' and 'dignity'
