Gay tennis players make a racket in Toronto

  1. The inaugural Canadian Open (international) was in 1995, and was a great success. With the Open,A,B,C divisions contested. Scott Weary deserves a great deal of credit for putting the TGLTA on the map and almost single handedly organizing the event. We had the first Canadian Open (closed) in August 1994 at Lamoureux . The structure of the event's organization that are most probably still used; the letter from the Mayor and Tennis Canada etc and the avenues were all opened by his hard work.
