ABC’s hit family sitcom Roseanne, which ran for nearly a decade from 1988 to 1997, is making its grand return.
The series, much like NBC’s Will & Grace, is coming back for a second life — and the first look at its rebirth is here.

The original series followed the working class Conner family, led by Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and husband Dan (John Goodman).
Both Barr and Goodman are returning for the finale. This means, similar to Will & Grace, the revival will be playing fast and loose with its original series finale.
Several other original cast members are also returning for the new iteration. Sara Gilbert, pictured in the new still above, returns as Darlene. Joining her is Alicia Goranson as Becky, Johnny Galecki as Darlene’s husband, Michael Fishman as D.J., and Laurie Metcalf as Aunt Jackie.
‘You will feel the emotion from seeing that set again,’ said executive producer Bruce Helford, who previously served as the series’ showrunner from 1992-93.
The revival picks up 21 years later and includes new writers like Whitney Cummings and Wanda Sykes.
‘We want everybody to see something that doesn’t really exist on TV anymore — an honest family,’ continued Helford. ‘These people are very much the core of what’s going on in the country right now.’
The series premieres in 2018.
